In 1995, Ulysse Nardin developed the Big Date double window display for easy reading of the date (Patent No. CH 688 671). This technical breakthrough, which features an enlarged date display was first embodied in the revolutionary Perpetual Ludwig in 1996.
The winding crown has a quick corrector position which can be used forwards and backwards.
The Michelangelo Big Date is in fact the first in a family of Michelangelo models including a UTC Dual Time version, a chronograph and a comprehensive range for ladies.
